25 September 1993, in the presence of sporting and political authorities, a large public and with the extraordinary participation of world record holder Giorgio Lamberti, is inaugurated the Municipal Swimming Pool of Valdobbiadene whose management is entrusted to the S.S.D. Montenuoto already manager of the swimming facility of Montebelluna.
The inauguration represents the epilogue of a long and laborious bureaucratic process conducted by the municipal administration to make a structure adequate for the promotion and development of a fundamental sport such as swimming available to the community.
The many doubts that had accompanied the construction of the swimming facility are denied by the prompt response from the city of Valdobbiadene and its district. An enthusiastic adhesion that confirms its natural predisposition and attitude towards sporting commitment.
In June 2001, an outdoor pool with solarium was inaugurated and opened to the public, which, although not large, offers a restful and relaxing view of the surrounding vineyards.
The program, initially presented, with some swimming courses for children and adults and some free-swimming time slots, has been, over the years, considerably expanded with the inclusion of numerous and varied activities that are aimed at a user ranging from the few months of life to an advanced age. Giving space, moreover, to all those, children and adults, who wish to face a competitive commitment and confront their abilities and their limits.
